PrintableRuler started with a simple, annoying problem: you need a ruler right now, and the printable ones online come out the wrong size. Most are images or PDFs that the browser silently shrinks, and nothing on the page tells you.
How we make the tools accurate
- Every sheet is drawn from scratch in real millimetres and inches, not from a scanned image or screen pixels.
- The page size is set to your actual paper, and our PDFs ask the viewer not to rescale them.
- Every sheet carries a scale check: 5 cm and 2 in bars, and on most sheets a bank-card outline. You can verify the printout instead of trusting it.
- The online ruler is calibrated against an object you own, because no website can know your physical screen size.
Free, private, no account
All the tools run in your browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-up, and nothing you measure is sent to us. The site is supported by advertising, which keeps it free. See our privacy policy for details.
