This policy explains what information is processed when you use printableruler.app (the "site"). In short, the tools run entirely in your browser, we have no user accounts, and advertising partners may use cookies as described below.
Information stored on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences: paper size, ruler style, zero-edge choice and your screen-ruler calibration. These values never leave your device, and you can delete them at any time by clearing site data in your browser. The rulers, PDFs and conversions are generated on your device. Nothing you measure or print is uploaded.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
Advertising and cookies
The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. Where you have allowed it, they also use them to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices link in the footer.
- US visitors in states with privacy laws can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through the same message, where it is shown, or through Google Ad Settings.
Children
The site is a general-audience tool used by students, teachers and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we have no accounts or forms that ask for it.
Your rights
Because we do not keep personal data tied to you, there is usually nothing for us to access or delete. For data processed by Google for advertising, use the controls above or Google's own privacy tools. For any question, email info@planbdigital.co.
